WHO IS BEING IN THE SHADOW
BEING IN THE SHADOW first originated in 2011 when Dr. Kate Russo began researching the total solar eclipse experience when she was based in Belfast. She was frequently invited to present her work in the media and in lectures. Over time her work expanded to include eclipse planning activities and workshops, community visits, and planning consultations. She continues to research, publish books and has become a thought leader, preparing White Papers. Following her relocation from Belfast, the company was formally founded by Kate in early 2022 as an Australian-based global consultancy.
Drawing upon a background in psychology, consulting, and research, BEING IN THE SHADOW delivers Zoom and in-person workshops, presentations, and strategic consultations for communities within the path of totality for a total solar eclipse. Clients include Chamber of Commerce, local and state Governments, local and state tourism boards, tour operators, private industry, and others.
