Brisbane Astronomical Society meeting, early 2013 talking about the total eclipse of 2012. (c) 2013, Kate Russo

I have many years of experience of arranging eclipse-related events and workshops, delivering presentations, undertaking outreach activities and organizing opportunities for the local community to talk to an eclipse chaser about eclipses.   I have done this in many countries around the world now – Europe, Australia, Asia, the US.

This aspect of my eclipse career started in 2012 following the launch of my first book Total Addiction, although I was already an established international speaker with my psychology career.   It seems natural now for me to arrange events, workshops, outreach activities and to accept invites to talk about the eclipse experience, my eclipse research, and eclipse planning activities.

I have delivered events and outreach activities in a range of venues to reach a wide audience, including at schools, community centers, businesses, restaurants, conferences, hotel lobbies and even at markets – anywhere where I could share the eclipse experience and answer the many questions the local community have.

This section will provide an overview of the events that I have undertaken over the past few years.   They will be divided into events that I have arranged myself; and invitations to participate in events arranged by others.   Many of my events over the last few years can be found on my FB events page here.
